Google Adds Task Manager to Gmail

A new feature has just made its appearance in Gmail Labs, the testing laboratory webmail Google. Announced through the official Gmail blog, the Tasks function allows you to manage tasks and create small reminders in the webmail.

Tasks function is activated through the Labs section, accessible from the English version of Gmail. Once activated, a list taking place in a window similar to the chat can now be displayed in the lower right, a single click to create a new task. Options can create different lists, organize and prioritize tasks or to add their notes and a due date. It is also possible to create a task directly from an email, using the menu "More Actions".

With this new feature, Gmail, Google Calendar combined into a PIM (Personal Information Manager) and complete free online. Google nevertheless recalls that the proposed functions through its Labs, as they are being tested and may change, not work or be abandoned at any time. Tasks function has also great potential to become a standard feature.
