Last week there was a news that some of the developer from the Facebok are selling the User IDs to the advertisers and data brokers. Now the Facebook caught then developer who has been involved in the selling of the User IDs and the contact list.
This is discovered by the Facebook while trying to Fix the bug in browser that allow the user ID to be shared without notifying the user. The data of the user are revealed to the broker and that information are used for making ads on Web. The developer is caught and banned for more then six month and will be held for more action according to network policy.
But this news revealed the security of the user on the Facebook. The user is not secure on the Facebook. The Facebook itself revealed that low technical demands of security mean that some browsers user IDs are filtered. This is also reported that some of the developer who all are creating the application for the network are also involved in the selling of then User Data.
Facebook is now stating that no User data misused and transfer of user IDs do not provide access to private data. Facebook is now more concerned about the security and the data of the User. It is been expected that now the security of the Facebook.
Facebook yet not revealed the name of the developer who are involved and punished for this issue. Facebook just said that there were more then dozens developer involved in this selling of the User information.
