The GeForce GTX 260 55 nm revealed

Expreview put the hands on two new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260. It is therefore GT200B developments GT200A of 55 nm (which was burned to recall 65-nm). It still has 216 SP (Stream Processors) and its frequency would remain the same. The PCB of the card, 26.5 cm long from 14 to 10 layers.

The food is reviewed, the card now has 4 + 2 phases, against 3 + 2 before. The developments allow a more simple and less expensive. The problems identified by some noise should also disappear. The two PCI Express 6-pins allow the card to consume up to 225 W (75 W on the PCIe x16 slot and 2 x 75 W on the connectors). Some believe that if the card consumes less than 150W (overclocking off) it would be possible to use one of the two connectors.
