Loosing Internet Connectivity while accessing gmail I am using windows 7 home edition. Whenever I access gmail on my laptop, its internet connectivity is lost. I normally use a wireless broadband modem for internet use. This problem is limited to gmail only. I can access google without any problem. Any advice would be highly appreciated. I would like to ask few things, which browser you using ? And does it happens only while attaching file in gmail or while reading the mails normally ? Because most probably such error occurs in just Firefox while attaching files. You must try some another browser and see if the problem occurs. Reply back. I have used nearly all browsers including Chrome, Internet explorer, Firefox and opera. Same problem with every browser... it happens while reading the mails normally as well as attaching file in gmail. In fact, before attaching the file, my internet connectivity is lost and I have to restart the computer to get back online. I don't know whats the problem but never faced this one before... Yeah, thats really a strange problem. Very difficult to get the cause of this problem. It would be firewall problem only if entire Google was blocked, but as you said google is working fine, it couldn't be firewall. Google doesn't load but bookmarks do...

Google doesn't load but bookmarks do... When I load either IE or Firefox, both start up just fine. If I click on a bookmark, it takes me directly to the website with no problems. When I type into the search bar or try to go to www.google.com directly, it cannont find the site. I've run malware scans using Trendmicro, Malwarebytes and Spybot. I only found one thing called "internet security essentials". I removed it, did a registry cleaning and rebooted everything. I even tried to clean the DNS per some other forum posts to no avail. I've found a couple of threads out there but no definitive solution. Thanks in advance for any advice and help. I have a partial solution for you and see if it works or not, in Internet Explorer, go to tools > internet options > advanced. After that scroll down to HTTP 1.1 settings and remove the tick next to use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections. I have connection to the internet and all my bookmarks work, just not when I use the google search bar or type it directly into the address bar. And it doesn't work in either IE or Firefox. I'm hesitant to uninstall IE and reload it but may have to. btw, I'm using XP, SP[?]. I have all the latest Microsoft Updates. Because, if you chatting from Gtalk and want to clear the chat box, you can simply do it by killing Gtalk process from task manager. Start Gtalk again and you will not see any previous message in this little box. Missing Graphics in Mozilla firefox and Internet Explorer Hello, I have a desktop computer which is installed with Windows XP service pack 3 on it. I use Mozilla firefox as the default browser on my computer. Recently I updated Mozilla firefox to the latest version. After updating the browser I am facing very unusual problem with it. Some Graphics of the Websites are missing in the browser. The same problem can also be seen in Internet Explorer 8. I cant figure what is causing such problem and hence need somebody to guide me through. So if anybody is facing the similar problem like missing Graphics in Mozilla firefox and Internet Explorer, then please share some information. Is this some kind of virus problem? Please help. If the files which are required by the browser to run get corrupted then the browser will not function properly. The only way to solve the problem is to remove the installed browser from the computer and then remove all the files and keys related to it. Once the system is clear of the application, then install it again and see if the problem continues or not. Remove one application at a time from Mozilla and then check if the browser works properly or not. Like this find and remove the application/addon which is creating problems in normal functioning of the browser. Once the application which is creating problem is removed you will not face the missing graphics problems in Mozilla firefox. It is possible that the system must have got infected by some virus while updating mozilla firefox. Hence scan the system with an updated antivirus and then check all the infected files. Repair or quarantine the files which are infected and then check the performance of both the browsers. If the number of infected files is more then you will have to reinstall the browsers again on the system. Try creating a new user account in Windows and then login in to the new account and then test the browsers there. Creating a new account will revert all the changes made to the browser to default settings. Therefore if the problem which you were facing was due to improper settings then it would be solved. Before creating a new user account in Windows, create a new profile in the browser and then see if the problem exists or not. If creating new profile in the browser solves the problem then there is no need to create new user profile. If the Internet connection is not working properly then images and other graphic element do not get loaded properly in the Web page and hence browser will display missing graphics sign in it. Check the internet connection by visiting websites like Speedtest and Pingtest. This websites provide online test which can be used to determine the quality of the link which is being used. If the Internet connectivity is the issue then contact your ISP to solve the issue. Mail not being sent to the address book group on my iPad I have sorted all my email contacts into certain groups in my Address Book. I don’t think there’s any mistake in the contact details. I mean, there are no email ids in contact no. list or anything like that. Things look perfectly fine and I can’t make out what the cause of the problem is. By the way, the problem is that I whenever I try to send an email to any group it shows an error message that so-and-so group doesn’t have valid mail ids. Your concern clearly shows that you cannot avoid the group-sending concept. It looks like you are habituated to sending emails this way, so a suggestion to send single mails instead holds no value, does it? You don’t need to do that either. Anyways, this looks like a case of some sort of conflict in the system. It might be because of email id existing in multiple groups or may even be because of group name conflicts with previously created and deleted groups. Try clearing the previous recipients list. Yes it can be kicked out! One thing for you to note is that an entire group of contacts can simply get corrupt even if one of the contacts gets corrupt. What I mean to say is that, one wrong email id can actually stop an entire group from processing. The error might be a minor ‘@’ missing or an invalid extension say: .cmo instead of .com. and maybe all this one single emaild id is common in all the groups. That’s enough to hamper your peaceful mailing process. I checked each group with one of those fine toothed combs but went useless! Couldn’t detect a single of them. Whenever I try mailing to a group it says that there are no names in the group but when I try clicking on the group it actually enlists all the contacts. I have contact groups ranging from 8 to 80 contacts in it and each one of them shows this issue. So, 1 thing is sure that it is not because of the no. of contacts. The problem is something else. Why some channels are in HD and some are not

Why some channels are in HD and some are not Can anyone explain me in short why some TV shows are in HD and some are not. I had not able to understand the actual intention behind it. Some shows which are already on HD mode does not give you that much video quality. While some are awesome. Does it really cause because of device that I use with the my TV. The digital set top box. Is there any set top box which can put every channel on HD mode. I am using a online tv service which told me that all channels will be HD. I contacted them they said that is because of the provider not us. If they do not broadcast the same in HD you might face a quality dropout. That is really insane. Second thing I had noticed that some programs are in HD and some are not in the same channel. This another weird stuff. So surely this is not related to any of my hardware. What should I do. Thanks. It is right that some programs are in hd version while some are not. You can do nothing on the same. There are some videos which are encoded in high definition mode. They work nicely on your regular set top box also. There is nothing much to check. Anyhow even if you use a device which can convert your channels to hd mode you cannot expect the quality unless the provide give you that aspect ratio. Somehow your region is also responsible for the same. In some part there are not hd channel support while some give full access to hd content. It depends on the broadcaster. You cannot make changes from your site. There are certain tv box which give you a better video quality. But that depends on the provider. If the signal is clear and proper then you can get the enhanced version on your screen or else there is no way to get those channels fixed. You can contact the broadcaster about the same.
