Civilization 5 VS Might & Magic Heroes VI
So Civilization V is a long-awaited sequel to Civilization IV and Might & Magic Heroes VI to Might & Magic Heroes 5. These games are similar in many respects. Civilization V introduced some fundamental changes that made the game unplayable for me; I just do not have the good old days "one more turn" feeling. Might & Magic Heroes VI far looks promising and I am full of hope and I would ask people who are fans of both series and had long beta test or Might & Magic Heroes VI if what I expect now, is it a continuation of the series or "aerodynamic innovation" that can attract new "rationalization" of generation, but lacks the charm of the old Might & Magic Heroes V and Might & Magic Heroes 3.

Re: Civilization 5 VS Might & Magic Heroes VI
I've played every Civilization game series a lot. I've played every game in the series Heroes. True, I've never played Heroes III expansion, although I have read about them in the major fan sites. I have yet to watch a game of the Civilization series or heroes that everyone can agree is a complete development in excess of its ancestor (no, I'm forgetting Heroes III). Inevitably, consensus is developing among some veteran players and some changes are improvements to the detriment of the game. Developers are free to take this into account for the expansion and the next version of the franchise. This happens with different franchises as well. All editions of the venerable Dungeons and Dragons role-playing game have had its pluses and minuses. The launch of Dungeons and Dragons 4th edition resulted in the publication Paizo Pathfinder game creation to compete. However, many people still playing D & D.

Re: Civilization 5 VS Might & Magic Heroes VI
I like civilization V. The game has not reached its full potential, however, because it is relatively new. My only problem with the game is not gambling, but the DLC. An official expansion is something you can plan and buy when you leave. DLC is often more difficult for me to get. On the positive side, I'm not going to pay money for a large number of scenarios that I will never play. I have a similar attitude towards Heroes VI. The lack of elves, dark elves and wizards is an obvious problem. However, it is a problem I'm 99% sure it will be treated in future expansions. I confess I do not mind the size or characteristics of the display of the city. I just do not want to fall in my game, which often occurs when I try to play Heroes V on the best means graphics settings. I suspect that many veteran players will enjoy playing Heroes VI. Like other games, the problems will be solved in time through patches and expansions.

These two games are completely dissimilar ... civilization V is a waiting game where the hero is more of a fighting game ... civilization V themselves to battle, but it is to make peace in order to develop the economy and troops to overcome the world ... Might & Magic Heroes is not well at all ... It is a fighting game to attack the troops to strengthen the army to win the game ... no peace treaty in Might & Magic Heroes ... you fight or die.

Ok, but there are many similarities, and the point is that both were long anticipated sequels - and I liked game in the series for which they were - I wonder what I might suffer the same shock and alienation? Well, the buzz, if you know what I mean ... If Might & Magic Heroes 6 as same as Might & Magic Heroes VI equals better graphics, I would be very happy, but if you have any sense of innovation, which makes the game boring - so it would be very sad.

While civilization V and Might and magic heroes VI both are unique game, both share many similarities. civilization V is challenging has accelerated, many would say "dumped down." There have been some big improvements in the tactical aspect of that game, but the "rule" feeling of deep and has faded, and now there are only shallow water under civilization V. I might and magic heroes 6 have followed much the same approached. It is more rational, and lacks much depth as before. They too do the version 2.0 instead of 1.6 one.

Re: Civilization 5 VS Might & Magic Heroes VI
Civilization V now feels like a completely different game that deserves its own title (and the tactics of civilization 1.0) I've never even bought if I knew. Also Might & Magic Heroes 6 happens now? This does not sound good ... Reading about new features and changes, however, I think are a great departure from Might & Magic Heroes 5. I even like some ideas as to the longevity of the batteries and the elimination of random elements in the skill tree. But if you played beta you can know better, I guess.

Re: Civilization 5 VS Might & Magic Heroes VI
Civilization V is very boring and a big disappointment for me. Civilization 4 is one of my favorite games, but with Might & Magic Heroes 5. Perhaps civilization V is fine for many people, but I just do not play some types of games, like Need for Speed, Quake, Soccer 2008 or whatever - so that means you definitely do not buy if you try Might & Magic Heroes 6 do something similar that has been civilization V made. But reading the posts here and in community forums - I have the impression that the developers completely ignored their fan base and created an entirely new game, in fact all the changes that sound good and do not seem to touch the basics. May be an illusion ... even though I still need to play to be sure, but that's why I'm doing here, as some people already played the beta (and maybe play civilization V well so you can compare).

Re: Civilization 5 VS Might & Magic Heroes VI
Civilization 4 is equal to civilization V, but civilization V has more accessories and heavier graphics for your motor ... I do not understand what you are trying to say. Heroes 5 are different from search 6.The 6 Might & Magic Heroes hero is prettier and more defined. The building, it is somehow different, more level up is completely different in what you have to update their very nature, and the AI is much more difficult to say.

Re: Civilization 5 VS Might & Magic Heroes VI
i just wanted to come here and say Civilization 5 is NOT like civilization 4 in many aspects. There are a few things gone in Civilization 5 that made civ 4 so great and there are things like City states in civ 5, that change the gameplay immensely. Because you now have this strange RANDOM city state that you can attack if you want, but theres NO penalites with any other civilizations for doing so. Its like a free city to attack that doesnt attack you back lol.. Its a cop out and its there so people dont have to attack REAL civlization or barbarian city and have to suffer the consequences for thier actions and be penalised for attacking thier neighbours.
Its making the game be NICER to you....
When in history can a civilization attack a city state and be free of all consequences for thier action with thier neighbours??????? NEVER!!!!!. Also when in history has a city state be completely seperate from another country? all villages or small cities are attached TO a territory or country or civlization on the planet. NONE just sit there by themselves and are just random cilvizations that have never been attached to anything lol. Those small villages in South America wer actually once a part of a larger civilization. Certain countries like Pakistan have branched off from INDIA and formed their own country, THAT i would of understood in CIV 5, over city states. If people that were angry with you, decided to forom thier own country. However that happens in CIV 4 anyway. Matter of fact in CIV 4 thier culture can overtake YOUR culture and take your city that way.
Also the + and - of negotiations in CIV 4 are gone in CIV 5 that also makes the game completely different. because every single action you would make in CIV 4 you would see a + or - over the other civ's leaders that incorporated your ENTIRE history with them, one of the best things Firaxis, have ever implemented in a CIV game is the + , - system. CIV 5 ..........its was GONE!?!?!?
Religion played a huge role to the positivity of your civilization and its negativity towards other cultures...GONE in civ 5.
Also the combat i feel is just a way to make combat feel more interesting even though , i prefer to just get it over and done with, Instead of just 1 quick attack in CIV 4, or any othe rciv game, tougher guy wins, you have to deal with 2 or 3 just for strategy 's sake, when , lets face it the combat is not that different but it just takes more attacks to get it over with. For me, i just wanted to get the hell on with it, see some nice animations and just get onto the next phase of my turn.
CIV 5 also runs extremely crap for a turn based video game and thats also not very cool and pretty unnacceptable.
For all the people comparing Heroes to Civilization , you cant be serious. Heroes gameplay is more like WARCRAFT 3, but turn based, NOT civilization. There isnt anything ive ever played that you can even compare Civilization with. No other game is that in-depth. Maybe Football manager? cant think of much else.

What we basically did on this is almost like what you might be saying, "Windows: comparison with Linux." Both have a lot of similarities. The two major changes from version to version, and both seem promising in all versions. One could argue if you download the new Windows down and simplified versions of the main window where they just put some major changes as well. (And in fact this has been done since Windows 98, well actually since Windows 3.1 as far as I remember).
