Why Graphic Card requirements for Battlefield 3 is equal to the ATI 6870
Why are the recommended requirements for BF3 favoring a card that is equivalent to the 6870? Is this game poorly optimized for ATI cards or is this just a Dice fluke that at a standstill has yet to be fixed? I can appreciate if the 560ti was measured better, but not the normal 560. Makes no sense, as a 6950 would destroy the 560 up till now is measured to be on the similar level according to Dices requirements.

All the Nivida logo and things is just Nivida sponsoring, ATI sponsored BC2 while it came out. I ran the Alpha with a single 6950 and was at about 60 to 70 fps. I ran the Beta with 2x 6950's in Crossfire, and got between 120 fps to 150fps. You necessitate to be running the Catalyst 11.10 Preview drivers, they are the just drivers optimized for BF3. If your running "2" cards in Crossfire, after that you as well need to install the catalyst 11.9 cap3 Profile.

I am just surprising why Dice put the GTX560 (nonTI) as suggested, but the 6870 isn't. This begs the query. Is the GTX560 (non Ti) more optimized than the 6870? Are they attempting to dupe us into acquiring a 6950 because they are in kahoots with ATI? Just seems like recommended should look like 560gtx or 6870. It would be like uttering the 6950 = 560GTX, but that obviously isn't the case and they have up till now to update on it.

I don't own an AMD card but I know NVIDIA works durable to oblige with DICE, that's why we get all the splendid beta drivers. You hardly ever see NVIDIA design a precise beta driver for a precise game. Well, possibly there is, but who cares.

All the lists I have seen up till now that all evidently list the 560GTX as suggested and the 6950 too. Seeing how these cards are not even in power I don't dig up the reasoning behind this. If they have scheduled the suggested as 560TI and 6950 that would make more sense, but they haven't. Just speculating if anybody knows why this is. My guess would be Dice doesn't appreciate the present GPU standards OR the game is superior optimized for Nivida and therefore a 560gtx would work just as well as a 6950. In other words acquiring the 560GTX would be a superior thought and I should return my 6870 if it is going to perform worse than a card that it should be better than in BF3.

I have a MSI GTX 560 ti twin frozr II and I as well occur to have a MSI hd6950 2 GB twin frozr ii. I am not content with my GTX 560 ti twin frozr ii as was not capable to play 1920x1080 at mega settings. The fps was reducing down fewer than 30 fps and I was over clocked to 950 MHz. With MSI hd6950 2GB twin frozr ii, clock frequency of 840 MHz and memory @ 1325. I realized you can play at full 1920x1080 with ultra settings. Everything is up and I received 45 to 50 fps. My advice Get a HD6950 2 GB its only $ 50 more and is a better investment than the GTX 560 Ti.
