Hi,
I need settings to configure a VirtualBox and Windows on a Linux system. I had done it before but know when I try to do the same in a different system I am facing errors. I need the whole procedure for the same. First I need simple instructions for installing VirtualBox. Then putting Windows in it. In this way I can create a virtual machine and access the same easily. Second thing I have Beryl installed on my system. I need some suggestion regarding adding new effects to the desktop. Thanks in advance.

Re: Configure VirtualBox and Windows on Linux
This is a summary of installation steps for virtual box. First click on edit / etc / apt / sources.list and add the repository for virtual box. Download innotek key (used to authenticate the packet) after that install the key apt-key add innotek.asc. Update the package list - aptitude update. Then install VirtualBox - aptitude install virtualbox. If you start VirtualBox (VirtualBox by typing in a command prompt), it tells you that you belong to a group of users vboxusers. So we add the current user (you) the group of users vboxusers. For this, use the adduser command - adduser

Re: Configure VirtualBox and Windows on Linux
Installing Windows on VirtualBox is very easy. Once VirtualBox is started, you notice the "New" button, which creates a virtual machine. Click on it. A wizard appears, which will guide to the rest of the process. Enter information about the different virtual machine to create (OS type, memory size, virtual disk ...) . At the end of the wizard, click "Finish" to create the virtual machine. Select the virtual machine and click on Settings. Change the options for the virtual machine has access to CD / DVD (and eventually the network and various devices). Insert the installation CD of Windows in the CD / DVD. Select the virtual machine and click Start. The virtual machine starts as if it were a real computer. Installing Windows starts normally. Install Windows on the virtual machine.

Re: Configure VirtualBox and Windows on Linux
Since the nVidia driver working properly, it would be a shame to miss the tremendous opportunities offered by Beryl. Window Picker gives an overview of all windows when the mouse approaches the edge of the screen. This effect is fairly hard to find. Go to the menu > General Options > Shortcuts > Screen Edges. To the edges of your choice, choose Initiate Window Picker or Initiate Window Picker for All Workspaces. As you can see, in the Screen Edges there are other possible actions that I let you discover. Animation Window, this is apply different animations when an event related to product windows (open, close, minimize, maximize ...). Enable "Visual Effects" / "entertainment". Set the different animations. Top tabs allow linking a movie to an event the following tabs to configure each animation. If you want an overview of different animations in the tab (A) Minimize, select Random to Minimize and Unminimize Animation, then party to reduce and restore a window.
